Move Right.

The problem in front of you isn't always the real problem.

Life is constantly putting things in front of us — decisions, problems, opportunities, relationships, questions. But the obvious issue isn't always what's really going on.

Move Right is about looking underneath, figuring out what's true and what matters, and knowing what to do next.

01 / What I believeGood decisions start before the decisionKosturos.com

The direction we move shapes the life we live.

We're all making decisions every day.

But good decisions start before the decision. They start with seeing clearly — because sometimes the question we're asking isn't the real question, and the problem we're trying to solve is only a symptom.

  • What to pursue
  • What to let go of
  • What to believe
  • What deserves our attention
  • What matters now
  • What to do next
Looks likeA business problem
Really isA fear problem
Looks likeA money problem
Really isA security problem
Looks likeA motivation problem
Really isA meaning problem
So I keep coming back to the same questionThen move accordingly
What's really
going on
here?
  • Look underneath
  • Question assumptions
  • Figure out what's actually true
  • Discern what matters most
  • Then move accordingly

Zach Kosturos

I've always been drawn to the question underneath the question.

I'm Zach Kosturos. I'm a believer, husband, father, entrepreneur, and investor.

For most of my life, I've been trying to figure things out — businesses, investments, relationships, problems, decisions, and increasingly, the deeper questions underneath all of them.

I've learned that what we initially think the problem is often isn't the problem at all. The real work is getting underneath the obvious, seeing reality more clearly, and figuring out what to do with what we find.

That's what Move Right is about. Not pretending to have all the answers.

Trying to ask better questions, uncover what's true, and make the next right move.

03 / What I'm doingPodcast · Meetups · SessionsThree places to explore it

This is where I'm working it out.

Move Right isn't a framework I created in a conference room. It's the way I'm trying to live — in my own faith, family, health, work, money, and relationships. And I'm creating places to explore it with other people.

Move Right Podcast

  • What's really going on?
  • What are we assuming?
  • What matters most?

Real conversations about the questions that matter. We start with a problem, tension, decision, or question and try to get underneath it.

Sometimes we find answers. Sometimes we find better questions. Either way, the goal is to see more clearly and move accordingly.

Move Right Meetups

  • No presentation
  • No guru
  • No predetermined answer

Sometimes the best way to figure something out is to sit around a table with thoughtful people and talk about it. Move Right Meetups are small, honest conversations around the things we're actually wrestling with.

Bring the thing you're trying to figure out. We'll look at it together.

Move Right Sessions

  • A decision
  • A transition
  • A question you can't get clear on

Sometimes you need to go deeper on one specific thing. A Move Right Session is a focused one-on-one conversation designed to help you get underneath the presenting problem, clarify what's true and what matters, and figure out the best path forward.

Bring the knot. We'll try to untangle it.

04 / The ideaGetting closer to the rootUpstream

Most of life happens downstream.

The decisions we make matter. But those decisions come from something deeper.

What we see. What we believe. What we fear. What we value. What we think will make us safe, or whole, or possible.

That's why I'm increasingly interested in what's underneath. Because changing behavior without examining what's driving it rarely changes much for long.

Move Right is about getting closer to the root.

Not just
  • "What should I do?"
But instead
  • "What's actually happening here?"
  • "What's true?"
  • "What matters most?"
  • "And given that — how should I move?"
05 / Why it mattersAlignment, not just outcomesEntrusted

The goal isn't just to make better decisions.

It's to live in greater alignment with what is true and what actually matters.

For me, that ultimately points back to God. I believe everything we have — our lives, gifts, money, opportunities, relationships, influence — is entrusted to us.

I'm still working that out. But I increasingly believe the answer has something to do with becoming a better conduit for what God wants to do in us and through us.

Move Right is one way I'm trying to pursue that.

The question isn't simply how much we can build, achieve, or accumulate. It's:

What is all of this for?

I'm figuring this out too.

I'm not interested in pretending life is simpler than it is.

There's nuance. There are tradeoffs. There are questions without immediate answers. And sometimes the right move only becomes visible after we've looked at the thing long enough — and deeply enough — to finally see it clearly.

If that kind of exploration interests you, follow along.
